Small-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Hanging Floral Decoration, Southeastern PA Origin, mid 19th century, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled cooler, decorated around the body with a series of bright cobalt swags and hanging flowers. Additional leaf decoration around collar and dashes along the spout. Excellent size, form, and decoration. A few in-the-firing contact marks to body. An in-the-firing contact mark to handle. An approximately 1 1/2" line in spout. A tight 2" line and professionally-restored rim chip on left side of collar. One base chip. H 7".
