Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, decorated with a brushed cobalt design of two tulips extending from a stripe at the base, the flowers' splayed leaves resembling a heart. Additional leaf or floral brushwork around collar. Base chips. A few small rim chips, all of which appear to be in-the-firing. Short vertical hairline on interior of rim. A shallow in-the-firing contact mark / chip to left side of pitcher's front.
