Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Tulip Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Family, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, ovoid jar with footed base, flared collar, and ribbed lug handles, the front and reverse sides decorated with two large tulips. Additional swag brushwork below the collar and wavy line decoration under each handle. Several shallow rim chips. A glazed-over base chip.
