Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, approximately one or one-and-a-half-gallon churn with rounded shoulder, applied lug handles, and tall collar, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed horizontal tulip. Includes wooden dasher and unusual 19th century carved wooden dasher guide. 3 3/4" cross-shaped hairine from rim. Minor wear to handles. A few rim chips. 3/4" stone ping near base. Surface wear to interior of rim and inner rim where lid rests.
