Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Strawberry Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT.," circa 1855, semi-ovoid jug with squared spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a strawberry with folky striped and spotted accents. Excellent decoration, color, and size. Restored handle and some restoration to spout. Some light wear to decoration.
