Rare Rustic Earthenware Mug, Marked "HAUSER BRENNER & FATH / COOPERAGE / CINCINNATI. O," American, circa 1890, large-sized, wheel-thrown mug with applied sawed limbs to body and handle, the surface covered in an olive lead-based glaze over a light clay ground. Embossed with advertising for Hauser, Brenner, & Fath Cooperage Works, a business which opened in 1888, located at McLean Ave. and Bank St in Cincinnati, Ohio. Excellent condition. H 5 1/2".
