Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag Decoration, Stamped "J. KEISTER & CO. / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1865, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated completely around the shoulder with three groups of graduated cobalt swags. Impressed with Keister maker's mark at base. A few base chips otherwise excellent condition.
