Fine Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Large Cobalt Bird on Stump Decoration, attributed to Riedinger & Caire, Poughkeepsie, NY, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with an elaborate slip-trailed design of a long-tailed bird perched on a tall stump, accented with spots, shading, and shrubs to the left and right. Tight 6 3/4" vertical line on reverse. Minor spout wear, possibly in-the-firing. Two small iron pings to left side of front.
