Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, probably Norwalk, CT, circa 1840, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with alternating looping and wavy line designs. Rim chips. Long, very tight Y-shaped line on interior, barely visible on underside. 2 3/4" hairline from rim. 3" surface line from corner, not visible on interior. Filled 1 1/8" rim chip, visible on reverse. Interior with a few minor flakes and some wear to lead glaze. L 11 3/4" ; W 7 7/8".
