Slip-Decorated Redware "ABC" Plate, Norwalk, CT origin, circa 1840, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with the letters "ABC" underscored by a flourish in yellow slip script. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example from a long-term Midwestern collection. Several edge chips. A few flakes to interior. Two surface fissures from edge, measuring 1" and 5/8", not visible on underside. Diameter 9 1/4".
