Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "C. McARTHUR & Co. / HUDSON, N.Y.," circa 1850, cylindrical jug with narrow, semi-rounded spout, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip with curved leafy stem. 7" vertical crack on reverse with shorter cracks extending from it. A few minor base nicks and short lines at base. Glazed-over chip to top of spout. 1 1/4" surface line in spout on reverse, not visible on interior.
