Pair of Stoneware Advertising Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "CITY AUCTION STORE," attributed to the Whites Pottery, Utica, NY, circa 1875, cylindrical two-gallon and three-gallon jugs with tall spouts, each decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a flowering plant with heavily-striped interior. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. One-gallon jug with some staining and two minor spout nicks. Two-gallon jug with some fry to cobalt, some staining, a 1 1/4" base chip, and a glazed-over crack in base of handle.
