Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a brushed design of a conical flower hanging from a leafy stem. Some fry to cobalt. 1 1/2" surface line in spout, not visible on interior. Large recessed contact mark on reverse. Discoloration around base.
