Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spaniel Doorstop, Ohio or possibly Texas origin, fourth quarter 19th century, molded figure of a seated spaniel, the surface covered in a whitish Bristol slip and decorated with a brushed cobalt leash and accents to the face and locket. Lightly-incised details to the eyes and mouth. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 5/8".
