Small-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Incised Star Decoration, New York State origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tall, finely-tooled collar, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of an eight-pointed star with heavily-detailed interior. Excellent condition with an in-the-making, glazed-over chip at base and some faint surface lines emanating from base, not visible on interior and likely in-the-firing. H 8".
