Very Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Insect Decoration, Stamped "T. HARRINGTON / LYONS," New York State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt design of a beetle in flight, including spotted accented to the wings, body, and head. Brushed cobalt "2" above maker's mark. Loss to left side of spout. Otherwise excellent condition.
