Glazed Redware Jar, New England origin, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, applied lug handles, and coggled molding at base of collar, decorated with light manganese highlights and covered in a lead glaze over an olive ground. Wear to rim and handle edges. Light surface wear around midsection. Recessed spot at base with kiln furniture adhered to it. 2 1/2" hairlines from rim. Tight 2 1/4" line near base, which extends 1" onto underside. Tiny minor base chips. H 8".
