Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "L. NORTON & CO. / BENNINGTON," Vermont origin, circa 1823-1833, ovoid jug with tooled spout and heavily-ribbed handle, decorated with a brushed cobalt design of a tulip extending from a leafy stem. Brushed cobalt highlights to maker's mark. 1 1/8" chip to side of spout. Otherwise excellent condition.
