Scarce Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Flowerpot, New York State origin, circa 1880, tapered pote with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied saucer, the front decorated with a slip-trailed design of a large flower extending from a leafy stem. 1 3/8" rim chip on reverse. Other smaller rim chips. Base chips. A few lines extending approximately 4" from rim. 1 3/4" surface line from rim on reverse. 3" X-shaped surface line on reverse, not visible on interior.
