Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Decoration, attributed to the Morgan / Van Wickle Pottery, Old Bridge, NJ, circa 1820, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, ribbed lug handles, and unusually-shaped, semi-squared rim; one side decorated with a stylized, brushed cobalt tulip blossom, the other with splayed leaves resembling a dragonfly. Attribution is based on sherd evidence from the Morgan / Van Wickle site with identical brushed decoration. Two rim chips and some smaller rim nicks.
