Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Drape Decoration, New Jersey origin, early 19th century, approximately three to four gallon jar with footed base and open loop handles, decorated on the front and back with a brushed cobalt drape design accented with spots within each drape and a tassel at the center. Heavy exfoliation throughout much of surface. Iron ping to shoulder on one side. Heavy chipping to base. Rim chips.
