Scarce Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Large Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H.B. PFALTZGRAFF / YORK, PA," circa 1875, ovoid jug with wide, squared spout, the front decorated with two large, heavily-brushed tulips connected at the stem. Rare size and excellent decoration. Long, thin horizontal crack around section of base. Two spout chips, measuring 3/4" and 1/2". Two thin cracks in handle. Two base chips, measuring 2" and 1", both possibly in-the-firing flaws.
