Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip design including spotted petals and dashed accents to the right. Slip-trailed "4" flanked by dashes below rim. Excellent condition with some very light water glass staining to surface and heavier water glass residue on interior.
