Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, possibly NJ, early 19th century, ovoid jar with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a stylized brushed design of a circular flower blossom flanked by two leaves. Thin 3 1/2" crack at base, extending 1" onto underside. Two rim chips and a minor rim nick. Chipping to base. Small stone ping at shoulder. 1 1/8" oval contact mark on one side.
