Glazed Redware Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and concave rim molding, the interior and exterior surface covered in a clear lead glaze over a bright pumpkin-orange ground. Several short, tight surface lines on underside, continuing a very short distance onto base of jar, none of which are visible on interior. 1 3/4" surface line from rim on interior only, not visible on exterior. Wear to rim. H 5".
