Scarce Glazed Redware Bowl, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840-1880, tapered bowl with footed base, recessed underside, and angled rim molding, the surface covered in a lead glaze over a light, yellow clay ground. Underside impressed "JOHN BELL". Unusual form with good color. Four restored cracks from rim. A small restored area on interior of rim area. Several short hairlines at base, continuing a short distance onto underside. A short hairline from rim. Some surface wear to rim. Small base chip. Light wear to interior. H 3 1/2" ; D 8 1/4".
