Rare Quart-Sized Redware Jug, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid jug with semi-squared rim, decorated with heavy manganese sponging over an orange clay ground. Impressed "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO" on shoulder. Unusual small size. Excellent condition with some scratches to surface, light wear to handle, and typical wear to top edge of spout. H 7 3/4".
