Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to A. Keister & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1850, ovoid jar with tall, flaring collar and applied lug handles, decorated one both sides with a leafy vine bearing three large, open-petaled tulips. 1 3/4" rim chip. Other shallow chipping to rim. 1 1/4" base chip. Small chip to one handle.
