Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to A. Keister & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1850, ovoid jar with tall, flaring collar and applied lug handles, the front and back decorated with a leafy vine bearing three large, open-petaled tulips. Meandering, mostly thin, cracks around base area, with a few extending onto midsection. Cracks are primarily not visible on interior. Chipping to rim. Base chip. Small handle chip.
