One-and-a-Half-Gallon Shenandoah Valley Redware Bean Pot with Lid, Stamped "J. EBERLY & CO. / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1890, squat-shaped bean pot form with ribbed strap handle, covered in a lead and manganese glaze on the exterior and a lead glaze over slip wash on the interior. Includes original lead-and-manganese-glazed lid. Bean pot in excellent condition with typical wear to rim. Crack running through lid, possibly broken into two pieces and reglued. Chips to edge of lid. A shallow chip and wear to knob of lid. H (including lid) 10".
