Outstanding Redware Lion's Head Urn with Copper and Manganese Floral Decoration, Stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va," circa 1875, skillfully-potted urn with ovoid body and dramatically-flared rim with coggled edge. Handles molded in form of lion's heads. Front and back decorated with an elaborate copper and manganese tulip design, applied over a white slip. Impressed on shoulder "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va."
