Two Alexandria, VA Stoneware Jars, circa 1850 and 1875, a two-gallon cylindrical jar with squared rim, stamped "B.C. MILBURN / ALEXA," circa 1850; paired with a one-gallon cylindrical jar, bearing the cobalt-stenciled advertising, "E.J. MILLER & CO. / WHOLESALE / DEALERS IN / QUEENSWARE, CHINA / GLASSWARE & C. / 63 KING ST. / ALEXANDRIA. VA.". Milburn jar with some faint surfaces lines on underside, not visible on interior, as well as a few very tiny nicks on interior of rim. E.J. Miller jar with significant fry to cobalt and some staining.
