Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Slip-Trailed Cobalt Floral Decoration, New York State origin, mid 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded and tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed tulip design with shaded petals and leaves. A curving crack from rim on each side, both extending through handle. One of these cracks extends onto front. A small, in-the-firing chip to base.
