Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "WORCESTER," Massachusetts origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with angled spout, the front decorated with an abstract slip-trailed design, including scrolled trails accented with spots extending from a looping stem. Minor base chip. Small spout chip. 1 1/4" painted stone ping on reverse. 3 1/2" hairline on underside, continuing 2" onto base, extending through an in-the-making chip at base.
