Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "C. HART & SON," Sherburne, NY, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, the front decorated with an elaborate cobalt floral design including a blossom to the left and dashed trails to the right. Excellent color. Significant spider crack on reverse, with one crack extending off from it horizontally around body of jug to edge of flower blossom. 1 1/2" and 1" hairlines flanking top of handle on spout. 1" hairline in lower handle terminal. Chip on exterior of spout. Two smaller chips on interior of spout.
