Six-Gallon Cobalt-Banded Stoneware Water Cooler, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON / UTICA, NY," circa 1885, keg-form cooler with circular bung hole, decorated with incised bands highlighted in cobalt slip. A shallow chip on top of rim. A small, shallow chip on interior of rim. Some water glass staining to top of rim and interior. 2" salt drip to base on side of cooler. Undetectable hairline, which can be heard when the cooler is wrapped with one's knuckles.
