Five-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W. ROBERTS / BINGHAMTON, NY," circa 1870, semi-ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed flowering plant design bearing two blossoms accented with dashes. 1 3/4" shallow chip to front of rim. 5 3/4" Y-shaped crack from rim on side of churn. Heavy shallow chipping to ledge on interior of rim, where a lid would rest. Otherwise excellent condition.
