Three-Gallon Lidded Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W. ROBERTS / BINGHAMTON, NY," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed morning glory vine design featuring four blossoms. Includes swag-decorated lid, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875. Crock with large, tight inverted Y-shaped crack under one handle. Lid with shallow chip to flange on underside and small nick to edge. Tiny nick to end of one handle. A 7/8" chip on interior of rim, along with a much smaller chip on interior of rim. Smooth 1" chip to bottom edge, possibly in-the-firing. Some fry to cobalt.
