Five-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER," New York State origin, circa 1850, semi-ovoid churn with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed daisy plant design. Good form and decoration. Significant restoration throughout most of surface and underside. Restoration runs up to edge of decoration, but does not touch decoration.
