Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "E. & L.P. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT.," circa 1870, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed cobalt leaf surrounded by spots. Shallow chip on top of rim. A few small nicks on inner lid rim. Some light water glass streaks to surface. A salt drip to shoulder.
