Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Lage Cobalt Paddletail Bird Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON / UTICA, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and tall spout, decorated with a large brushed and slip-trailed cobalt design of paddletail bird with bulbous tail, perched on a flowering vine. Spots of fry to cobalt, including bird's eye. Two small spout chips.
