Two Northeastern Stoneware Jugs, circa 1875, a two-gallon jug with cobalt floral decoration, stamped "S.L. PEWTRESS & CO. / NEW-HAVEN, CT"; paired with a two-gallon jug, stamped "JOHN MATTHEWS / APPARATUS CO / 1st AVE 28TH & 37TH STS / NEW YORK". Pewtress jug with two tiny spout chips. Advertising jug with staining to surface. Otherwise excellent condition.
