Scarce Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "T.H GUNTHER / SHEBOYGAN, WI," circa 1866-1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and tall, semi-rounded rim, the front decorated with a flowering plant design bearing three large blossoms. Signed Theodore Gunther stoneware is difficult-to-find. Some fry to cobalt. Otherwise excellent condition.
