Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, second quarter 19th century, squat-shaped jug with tooled shoulder, rounded spout, and thick handle, the surface covered in a lead-based glaze with reddish-brown coloration and interesting spotting. Unusual form. Excellent condition with two very minor base chips, a tiny dot of glaze loss to top of rim, and a glaze flake to top of handle. H 6 1/4".
