Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, unusually-potted jar with thick "wax sealer" rim, tapered body, and tooled shoulder, decorated with four boldly-brushed cobalt stripes. Two base chips. Otherwise excellent condition. H 8 1/8".
