Half-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Freehand Cobalt Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with narrow spout, decorated with a large cobalt fuchsia between straight and wavy cobalt stripes. Drilled lamp wire hole at base on reverse. Crack near edge on underside, extending onto base, where it forms a few tighter lines. H 9 5/8".
