Rare Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Date 1865, Western PA origin, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and ribbed lug handles, decorated with the freehand cobalt date "1865," stripes, and a freehand "3" within a border. Cracks including crude restoration to front. Some restoration to underside. Two minor chips to one handle. A minor chip to opposite handle.
