Glazed Redware Apple Butter Jar, Stamped "W. SMITH / WOMELSDORF," Berrks County, PA origin, circa 1865-1880, ovoid jar with rounded rim and applied strap handle, the surface covered in a rust-colored lead-and-manganese glaze. Jar is misshapen with rim chips. Top-to-bottom hairline on reverse. Additional 2 1/2" hairline from rim. A few small chips and some wear to rim. H 6 1/4".
