Glazed Redware Jar with Heart-Form Handles, possibly Alvin Wilcox, West Bloomfield, NY, circa 1850, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, straight collar, and applied handles with distinctive heart-like form. Surface covered in a heavily-mottled brownish glaze with iron flecks. Spider cracks at base with one crack extending up to midsection, including one related 1 1/8" reglued flake. Additional cracks in rim, rim chips, and light wear to one handle. Excellent form and glaze. H 9 1/2".
