Rare Small-Sized Redware Bowl with Slip-Decorated Floral Design, probably Hagerstown, MD, early 19th century, tapered bowl with heavily-beaded rim, the interior with highly unusual flowering plant motif with traces of cream, green, and brown slip. Shoulder of interior of with green banding. Scarce size and decoration. Interior surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Significant losses to slip decoration. Several rim chips. H 2 5/8" ; Diameter 8 1/2".
